International Christians In Communion (ICIC)

A Christ-centered, ecumenical ministry serving Uganda through workplace transformation, marriage and family life renewal, and love in action.

“Being Christ to others so that they all may be one.” John 17:21

Our Mission

Being Christ at Work. At Home. In Community.

International Christians In Communion (ICIC) is deeply rooted in Uganda. Over 20 years ago, Uganda began a chapter of CIC/Worklight. Today ICIC, spun off and rebranded, is an exploding Uganda Ministry that empowers people to:

  • Welcome Jesus into their lives
  • Be Jesus to others through service and example
  • Spread Jesus’ love in their workplaces, families, and communities
  • …and do it all in the power and grace of the Holy Spirit!

Through workplace ministry, leadership training, radio evangelization, small groups, and acts of mercy, ICIC is building communion through action.

Make a Difference in Someone’s Life

  • The only time I went to church was Sunday, but still very rarely. At the ICIC retreat I was seriously challenged when the preacher said that our real home and house is the house of God and we’re here on earth temporarily. He said those who practice staying in the House of the Lord on earth, will go to live with the Lord after here. The scripture Ps 84:2 “My soul yearns and faints for the courts of the Lord----” moved my heart and now I go to mass daily.

  • I'm so much in love with your evangelical radio teachings. They speak clearly and vividly to my life. I find them so helpful for my Christian living and particularly for my priestly life. I can never miss that radio program. Even in the shower room, I carry my small radio.

  • “I didn’t know love until ICIC brought food for me and my children. I had no work and was starving… that’s when I saw God’s love.”

  • Though I don't like her, I love her. And from my choice to love, I've started developing a likeness towards her. Aloysius taught at one weekend that love is not only a feeling but God's law and a choice to obey that law. He enjoined us to decide to love the difficult-to-love people because if we don't love them we displease God and keep the blessing away from ourselves. I had not been talking to my half-sister for the bad things she said about me. My heart and mind resented her. From our weekend I returned home fully resolved to love her though I did not like her. Now we are talking and I feel like a heavy load taken off my heart.

  • I did not know the difference between the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit until your Pentecost Vigil radio preaching. From today I will strive for the fruits much more than the gifts because I have understood that real Christianity is bearing fruits of the Holy Spirit as laid out in Gal 5:22.
